Candidates Who Have Filed - San Juan County
When can I file for office?
- Candidates may submit a declaration of candidacy by mail starting May 1
- In person filing begins May 15, 8 am
- Online filing begins May 15, 9 am
- Online filing ends May 19, 4 pm
- All candidate filings ends May 19, 4:30 pm
- Deadline to withdraw May 22, 4:30 pm
A Declaration of Candidacy may be withdrawn by submitting a written request for withdrawal to the Elections Office no later than 4:30 pm on the Monday following the last the day that a candidate may file. If this deadline is missed, you cannot receive an extension. Filing fees are non-refundable.

1. Online – fast and easy!

- Online is available only between May 15 at 9 am and ends May 19 at 4 pm. Sharp. Declarations must be submitted by 4 pm.
- Pay your filing fee online with Visa, MasterCard or American Express.

3. By mail (The filing office cannot accept prior to 10 business days before the start of filing week and must be in office by close of business of the last day of filing.)
